My Go-To Cake Recipes

Birthday_Cake.jpg

Let’s talk cake. I love to bake. Have since I was a kid. I used to make chocolate cookies after school when I was in junior high just so I would have some cookie dough to eat. I mean the cookies right out of the oven, all warm and gooey, were pretty good, but give me a good scoop of cookie dough and I’m in heaven. The cookie baking continued through college and then I graduated to cheesecakes. You name the flavor, I’ve probably made it in cheesecake form. I was known for my cheesecakes. Then when I started hosting more parties and dinners, I became obsessed with single serve desserts - mini trifles, mini apple crisps, mini cheesecakes, I could go on. I loved everyone having their own tiny dessert.

As I’ve refined and simplified my dinner party routine (and entertaining in general), I’ve come to rely on a few go to desserts that NEVER disappoint. In fact, even people who aren’t big into desserts love them. So here you go, my three favorite cake recipes:

The Best Carrot Cake

Chocolate Bundt Cake

Olive Oil Cake
