I was SO overdue for a haircut. It had been almost a year since the last time I had it cut (I know, I know, really bad for your hair). You see, the curls are a relatively new thing. They popped up out of now where a few years back (where were you in high school when I was perming the heck out of my hair to give it any curl I could get?). I’ve been trying to learn how to style them ever since. Last year around this time, I really wanted shorter hair and thought cutting it would end the curls. Boy was I wrong. They just got worse and I spent the rest of the year growing it out.  Once I finally decided to get it cut, I had to pick a place to go. I ended up going to my friend Amanda. She’s been doing hair forever and has her own salon. I was a bit scared to have her cut it. Not because she isn’t awesome, but because we’re friends and if for some reason I didn’t like it, what would I do? It was the best decision I’ve made. She made my hair look amazing and I’ve even been able to style it like this on my own! No small feat, hair is not my thing. If you’re looking for a new stylist, visit Amanda at Allen Ray Salon! You won’t regret it.
