Chokladbollar are the gateway to Swedish baking, except there's no baking involved. Oats, butter, sugar, cocoa, and a splash of coffee, all mashed together, rolled into balls, and tumbled in coconut. They're often the first thing Swedish kids learn to make, and they're in the fridge case at almost every café in the country.

I piled a bowlful into a bright red dish, with a couple of escapees rolling loose and one bitten in half (quality control), next to a glass espresso cup on teal. It's pure comfort and doesn't take itself too seriously.
